I love the Kinsey Milhone mystery series, so I snatched up the Y is for Yesterday. It's the second to last book in the series and it is Sue Grafton's longest work. I won't go to in depth, but it is a complicated story involving blackmail and tracking a serial killer. I loved the characters. Sue Grafton has an eye for quirks and motivation. There is a good plot twist in the end that I did not see coming at all. She tracks a serial killer that was stalking her, which feels right. I like that Pearl, who was in W is for Wasted, gets a redemption arc. My one complaint is that she spent too much time writing scenes that have already been described in other parts of the book. The flashbacks just feel unnecessary. I'm looking forward to Z book.
