So...
It turns out that the one book that I promised to do an interview for is not in the KDP select program. I read the contract, and I think that means that I can get a new cover and upload the improved manuscript through Ingramsparks for the paperback and Draft2Digital without taking it off Amazon first. Then distribute it through other places such as Hoopla.
That might be a good idea. A way of getting my work to more people without a great deal of nonsense on my part. I suppose I should add an 'About The Author' page too. Don't know where though. What do you even say in those? "Vivian Yongewa is not a subject expert, doesn't have a lot of relevant experience to being a 13th century burgravine, and yet has been allowed to publish this book. Her husband and daughter give this a pass. She lives in California, and..."
So. My deadline is late August to get all those things done. They won't take that long, but that makes them the perfect thing for me to procrastinate until it's too late.
Guess I'll have to update my website too, after all that is done. All the hyperlinks for my book sales are to Amazon right now. But if two books have wider distribution, will that confuse people. Probably a little bit. We'll see how that plays out.
